Saddle Road ExplorationsEasy walks or moderately demanding hikes are available on the Saddle Road Explorations, a road which is closed to most rental cars. Hikers love these areas and they have special attractions for birders and photographers. The "saddle" features a range of landscape including historic-era lava flows pocketed with antique forests, which are home to several native birds.
Hawaiian Walkways is a charter member of the Hawaii Eco-Tourism Association, and received the "Tour Operators of the Year" Award in 2002.
