Hawaii Forest and Trail Kilauea Volcano Adventure

Hawaii Forest and Trail Kilauea Volcano Adventure

Join us on the Kilauea Volcano Adventure from Hawaii Forest and Trail, a voyage that Frommer’s Guide to Hawaii says “ . . . May very well be the highlight of your vacation.”  The geologic creation of the Hawaiian island chain, an eternal battle between the elemental forces of water and fire, is one of the world’s greatest natural history stories. There is no better place on earth than at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park to witness and understand the awe-inspiring nature of volcanoes. Our Interpretive Naturalists will show you the “must see” places within the Park while you learn about their geological and historical significance on the tour that was the recipient of the 2002 “Keep It Hawaii” Merit Award.

You’ll see an impressive native rainforest, visit a lava tube, discover extraordinary volcanic formations, and experience a diverse change in geography and climate once in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is an inspiring and precious place. It is listed as both a World Heritage Site and an International Biosphere preserve. A picnic lunch is served en route during your adventure. Depending on what the current volcanic activity is you’ll make a trip down the Chain of Craters road in the park or leave the park early to head down to Kalapana, searching for some current lava flow.  Through detailed geologic and natural history interpretation, small walks, and driving, you’ll discover and learn about the world’s most active volcano.  The Menu: Continental breakfast contains pastries, fresh island fruit, 100% Kona Coffee, juice, and tea.  Lunch includes your choice of deli sandwich (veggie, turkey, roast beef, pastrami, tuna, ham & cheese or combo (ham, cheese, salami & turkey), chips, chocolate chip macadamia nut cookie and sodas.
