This exciting Big Island ATV tour lets you stand at a serene ocean bay and minutes later you are surrounded by a tropical rainforest, where you’ll get to see a gorgeous waterfall. You’ll be riding along 200-foot ocean cliffs and arrive at a remote location overlooking Keawaeli Bay, which used to be property of Hawaiian royalty and a playground of King Kamehameha.
Your ATV adventure continues up to the 2,500-foot elevation, where you reach the oldest rainforest on the Big Island. This tour then continues through a cool eucalyptus forest, past mountain streams and under canopies of trees and lanes of wild ginger. Some of these plants are endemic to Hawaii. The tour then stops at a tropical waterfall and a short hike will take you to the refreshing pool below.

From Kona & Kohala:
Drive north on Highway 19 until you reach the stop sign at Kawaihae. Turn left at the stop sign onto Highway 270. Continue on 270 through the towns of Hawi and Kapaau. ATV Outfitters Hawaii is located a little past the 24th mile marker, on the left-hand side of the highway. Look for their sign, "ATV Outfitters." Take the first left where you see a refurbished cowboy cabin in the middle of a spacious green pasture.
From Hilo:
Take Highway 19 along the Hamakua Coastline until you reach Waimea. Take a right at the third stop light to continue on Highway 19. Stay on 19 until you come to a small bridge with a white wooden fence on one side. The road will fork, so keep to your right. You should now be on Highway 250. Continue along this route until it ends (approx. 25 min). At the final stop sign, turn right onto Highway 270. - Single Rider ATV:
Must be at least 16 years old and 5'0" (152 cm) in height and weigh 100-300 lbs (40-136 kg).
Ages 16-18 are required to provide identification showing date of birth at time of check-in and if unable to will not be able to drive their own ATV and there will be no adjustment to charges.
Two Passenger Side by Side ATV:
Driver must be at least 25 years of age and 5'4" (162 cm) tall.
Passenger must be at least 5 years old and weigh at least 45 lbs (20 kg). Maximum combined weight is 500 lbs (226 kg).
Four Passenger Side by Side ATV:
Driver must be at least 25 years of age and 5'4" (162 cm) tall.
Passenger must be at least 5 years old and weigh at least 45 lbs (20 kg). Maximum combined weight is 700 lbs (317.5 kg).
Children must ride with an adult who is at least 25 years old.
Children ages 5-17 require parent or legal guardian (with legal guardianship letter) to be present.
Pregnant women and people who have had recent surgery or chronic back and/or neck problems may not participate.
All riders must wear long pants and completely covered shoes.
Safety gear (helmet) is mandatory and provided.
No passing, stunts, or reckless maneuvers allowed. You must stay on the trail at all times. All riders must pass the practice course.
