🚙 Kohala Eco Ventures - Kohala UTV Adventure
Kohala UTV Adventure invites you to uncover the raw beauty and ancient legends of North Kohala’s rugged backcountry. This remote region, shaped by deep valleys and dense forests, once served as both sanctuary and battlefield for Hawaii’s powerful aliʻi (chiefs). Even King Kamehameha the Great sought refuge in these lands before uniting the islands under his rule. Today, this untamed wilderness offers a rare escape—an opportunity to recharge amidst nature’s grandeur and reconnect with Hawaii’s living past.
Our guided UTV tour takes you to the edge of Pololu Valley—known as the Valley of the Long Spear, one of Kohala’s seven sacred valleys. Ride comfortably in a 5-seat off-road utility task vehicle (UTV) as we descend makai (toward the sea) across rolling pastures of an active cattle ranch, then climb mauka (toward the mountains) into a world of cool mountain air, mist-shrouded forests, and cascading streams. Along the way, our knowledgeable guides share the history, culture, and stories that breathe life into the landscape.
Whether you're seeking adventure, connection, or serenity, Kohala UTV Adventure offers a journey that goes far beyond the trail.
