What was the advantage of the mid-morning whale watch departure?

The mid-morning cruise departed later than the early Wake Up With the Whales trip, making it convenient for guests who preferred a more relaxed start to the day. Whale activity can occur at any time, so the later departure still provided opportunities to see spouts, tail flukes, breaches and other natural humpback behaviors.

Could guests hear humpback whale songs during the cruise?

Yes, when conditions allowed. The crew used an underwater hydrophone to listen for humpback whale vocalizations, adding another perspective to the whale-watching experience while guides explained the whales' seasonal migration and behavior.

What happened if no whales were seen on the tour?

Ocean Sports offered guaranteed whale sightings during its seasonal whale-watch cruises. When a trip did not encounter a humpback whale, guests could return for another eligible whale-watch cruise under the operator's return-trip policy.
