Come aboard the Hoku Nui, a luxury catamaran, for a fun afternoon sail along the south Kona coast. Departing from Keauhou Harbor, we'll head south to Kealakekua Bay, one of the best snorkel spots in all of Hawaii. The bay is a marine preserve and is known for its beautiful coral reef and abundance of marine life that will amaze even seasoned snorkelers. After snorkeling in the bay, you’ll be served light pupus (snacks) and beverages on board. As your snorkel adventure comes to an end, we’ll set sail back to Keauhou Bay.
The afternoon tour lasts about three hours and focuses on Kealakekua Bay, making it a shorter option for guests who do not want to spend most of the day on the water. The morning cruise is longer, includes additional meals and may visit a second snorkel site when conditions permit.
No. Full-face snorkel masks are not permitted. Standard masks, snorkels and fins are provided, along with flotation noodles, life jackets, viewfinder boards and fish identification cards for guests who want help recognizing marine life.
Nonalcoholic beverages and light snacks are included, while beer, wine and specialty cocktails are available for purchase onboard. Alcohol is served only after guests have finished their snorkeling activities.
